1 I| Isaac, with the history of Esau and of Jacob, which is read
2 I| the foot, and he was named Esau. And forthwith followed
3 I| grown to reasonable age, Esau became a ploughman, and
4 I| Isaac the father loved well Esau, because he ate oft of the
5 I| oft of the venison that Esau took, and Rebekah the mother
6 I| made a good pottage, and Esau his brother had been an
7 I| give thee some pottage. And Esau answered, Lo! I die for
8 I| content I shall enjoy it, and Esau sware it, and so sold away
9 I| And on a time he called Esau his oldest son and said
10 I| words Rebekah heard. And Esau went forth for to accomplish
11 I| heard thy father say to Esau, thy brother: Bring to me
12 I| took the best clothes that Esau had, and did them on Jacob.
13 I| my son? Jacob said: I am Esau, thy first begotten son,
14 I| prove whether thou be my son Esau or not. He came to his father,
15 I| the hands be the hands of Esau. And he knew him not, for
16 I| him: Thou art then my son Esau? He answered and said: I
17 I| Jacob gone out, when that Esau came with his meat that
18 I| am thy first begotten son Esau. Isaac then was greatly
19 I| the blessing. And said to Esau: Who then was he that right
20 I| he shall be blessed. When Esau heard these words of his
21 I| thy blessing. Then said Esau: Certainly and justly may
22 I| to thee, my son? To whom Esau said: Hast thou not, father,
23 I| serve thy brother. Then was Esau woe-begone, and hated Jacob
24 I| son, and said to him: Lo! Esau thy brother threateneth
25 I| brother of Rebekah his mother. Esau seeing that his father had
26 I| messengers tofore him to Esau his brother in the land
27 I| and bade them say thus to Esau: This saith thy brother
28 I| Jacob and said: We came to Esau thy brother, and lo! he
29 I| twain turmes, saying: If Esau come to that one and destroy
30 I| the hands of my brother Esau, for I fear him greatly
31 I| lifting up his eyes saw Esau coming and four hundred
32 I| brother, approached him. Esau ran for to meet with his
33 I| worshipped him. Then said Esau: Whose been these turmes
34 I| may stand in thy grace. Esau said: I have many myself,
35 I| my children and beasts. Esau answered: I pray thee then
36 I| thy favour, my lord. And Esau returned then the same way
37 I| and died in good mind, and Esau and Jacob his sons buried
38 I| of Isaac and his two sons Esau and Jacob. ~
