I| commandment. Then came the Son of God in time when man
I| ordained, then he sent his Son that was God and Son of
I| his Son that was God and Son of the virgin and wife which
I| understood, is that, the Son of Justice, Jesu Christ,
I| names, that is to wit the Son of God, Jesus, and Christus.
I| Christus. He is called the Son of God insomuch as he is
I| without unction, nor the Son of God without glory. For
I| said Jesu Christ to be the Son of God. And as to the second,
I| name. The first name is Son of God. And that these names
I| divers manners this name, Son of God, is known, as it
I| witnesseth it that he is his son. Apostles preach it, the
I| which is showed us by the son that dispended his good
I| Father in voice, God the Son in flesh human, God the
I| if any of them died, his son or next kinsman shall be
I| and he said him to be the Son of God. And against these
I| that I say me to be the Son of God, and thou oughtest
I| the nature divine, he was son of the King, perpetual sovereign,
I| Thy word is truth. The Son of God, that is the word
I| He spared not his own Son, but for us all he delivered
I| daughter he engendered a son. She took her name and the
I| their names one name to her son, and named him Pilatus.
I| king. And the king had a son of the queen, which seemed
I| played oft. And the king's son also, which was legitimate,
I| quit of the death of his son, and that he should not
I| be believed that such a son should not leave his mother
I| had to him that was her son. And though the Evangelists
I| puissance and might, but the Son of Man that is in heaven.
I| said God the Father to the Son. As to the sixth, that is
I| and sovereign heaven the Son of God descended and ascended
I| approach, which teacheth us the Son to be equal to the Father
I| the Mother is before the Son, to whom she showeth her
I| breast and her paps, and the Son showeth to the Father his
I| the Father, and from the Son he was sent, and he also
I| of the Father and of the Son as having virtue and authority
I| Father be to us merciful, the Son to us profitable, and God
I| He hath sent to us his Son in price of our redemption,
I| adoption. Semblably the Son of God hath given himself
I| is unto us. The blessed Son of God would make us partners
I| spake the Father to the Son and Holy Ghost, or else
I| Enoch after the name of his son Enoch. Here it showeth well
I| brake the vow, because a son should be born to God. Yet
I| authority, that he sent Seth his son into Paradise for to fetch
I| open. Ham, his middlest son espied it, and laughed and
I| he understood how Ham his son had scorned him, he cursed
I| cursed him and also his son Canaan, and blessed Shem
I| patriarch Abraham which was the son of Terah. This Terah was
I| Sara his wife, and Lot the son of his brother, and their
I| will well that Eleazar the son of my bailiff be my heir.
I| and shall give to thee a son of her, whom I shall bless
I| Sarah shall bring forth a son whom thou shalt name Isaac,
I| Abraham took Ishmael his son and all the men, small and
I| that same day he and his son Ishmael and all the men
I| their father. The more had a son and called him Moab; he
I| younger brought forth another son and called him Ammon; he
I| conceived and brought forth a son in her old age, than same
I| promised. Abraham called his son that she had borne, Isaac,
I| a day when Sarah saw the son of Hagar her handmaid play
I| her handmaid play with her son Isaac, she said to Abraham:
I| out this handmaid with her son, the son of the handmaid
I| handmaid with her son, the son of the handmaid shall not
I| shall not be heir with my son Isaac. Abraham took this
I| hard and grievously for his son. Then said God to him: Let
I| be hard to thee for thy son and handmaid, whatsomever
I| called. Yet shall I make the son of the handmaid grow into
I| said: I shall not see my son die, and there she wept.
I| him: Take thou thine only son that thou lovest, Isaac,
I| young men and Isaac his son. And when they had hewn
I| here with the ass, I and my son shall go to yonder place,
I| sacrifice and laid it on his son Isaac, and he bare in his
I| mine. What wilt thou, my son? said Abraham, and he said:
I| offered? Abraham answered: My son, God shall provide for him
I| hast not spared thine only son for me. Abraham looked behind
I| him in sacrifice for his son. He called that place: The
I| hast not spared thine only son for me, I shall bless thee
I| that thou suffer not my son Isaac to take no wife of
I| take of them a wife to my son. And the servant answered:
I| country, shall I bring thy son into that country from whence
I| Beware that thou lead not my son thither. The Lord of heaven
I| take there a wife for my son. If no woman will come with
I| but in no wise lead my son thither. His servant then
I| Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel, son of Milcah wife of Nahor,
I| his concubines from his son Isaac whilst he yet lived.
I| he called Esau his oldest son and said to him: Son mine,
I| oldest son and said to him: Son mine, which answered: Father,
I| our Lord ere I die. Now my son, take heed to my counsel,
I| said she, be this curse, my son, nevertheless hear me; go
I| am here; who art thou, my son? Jacob said: I am Esau,
I| Esau, thy first begotten son, I have done as thou commandedst
I| said Isaac again to his son: How mightest thou, said
I| soon find and take it, my son? To whom he answered: It
I| him: Come hither to me, my son, that I may touch and handle
I| prove whether thou be my son Esau or not. He came to
I| to him: Thou art then my son Esau? He answered and said:
I| meat of thine hunting, my son, that my soul may bless
I| Jacob: Come hither to me, my son, and kiss me; and he went
I| Lo! the sweet odour of my son is as the odour of a field
I| of the venison that thy son hath ordained for thee,
I| I am thy first begotten son Esau. Isaac then was greatly
I| what shall I do to thee, my son? To whom Esau said: Hast
I| anon sent for Jacob her son, and said to him: Lo! Esau
I| slay thee, therefore now my son hear my voice and do as
I| Mesopotamia of Syria to Laban, son of Bethuel, brother of Rebekah
I| Melech, daughter of Ishmael, son of Abraham. ~Then Jacob
I| said: Know ye not Laban, son of Nahor? They said: We
I| brother to her father and son of Rebekah. Then she hied
I| that Jacob, his sister's son was come, he ran against
I| which then Leah bare a son and named him Reuben, saying:
I| conceived yet and bare another son, and said: Because our Lord
I| he hath given to me this son, and she called him Simeon.
I| and brought forth another son, and said: Now shall my
I| She conceived the fourth son and was delivered of him,
I| she conceived and bare a son. Then said Rachel: Our Lord
I| petition giving to me a son, and she named him Dan.
I| conceived again and bare another son, for whom Rachel said: Our
I| which conceived and bare a son whom Leah named Gad. After
I| conceived and bare another son, for whom Leah said: This
I| part of the mandrake of thy son. Leah answered: Is it not
I| part of the mandrake of my son? Then said Rachel: He shall
I| for the mandrake of thy son. At even, when Jacob came
I| meed of the mandrake of my son. He slept with her that
I| brought forth the fifth son, and she said: God hath
I| conceived and bare the sixth son and said: God hath endowed
I| which conceived and bare a son, saying: The Lord hath taken
I| region, which when Shechem, son of Hamor, prince of that
I| Hamor to them: Shechem my son loveth your daughter, give
I| afeard, for thou shalt have a son. And the death drawing near,
I| is as much to say as the son of my sorrow. The father
I| Benjamin, that is to say the son of the right hand. There
I| as much as he had gotte son a long time. All his sons
I| said: I shall descend to my son into hell for to bewail
I| called the name of the second son Ephraim, saying: God hath
I| thee. The father said: My son shall not go with you, his
I| hunger. I shall receive thy son, and require him of my hand.
I| dead, and he is an only son whom the father loveth tenderly.
I| now ye should take this my son and any thing happened to
I| This word sendeth thee thy son Joseph: God hath made me
I| father, and said: Joseph thy son liveth and he lordeth in
I| sufficeth to me if Joseph my son yet live, I shall go and
I| fourteen. Dan entered with one son, and Naphtali with four
I| approached, he called to him his son Joseph and said to him:
I| told to the father: Lo thy son Joseph cometh to thee, which
I| this is the first begotten son, set thy right hand on his
I| so, but said: I wot, my son, I wot what I do, and this
I| wot what I do, and this son shall increase into peoples
I| And he said to Joseph his son: Lo! now I die and God shall
I| conceived and brought forth a son, and he saw him elegant
I| and adopted instead of a son and named him Moses, saying
I| Moses and reputed him as her son by adoption, and on a day
I| conceived and bare him a son whom he called Gershom,
I| brought to him forth another son whom he named Eleazar, saying:
I| from the first begotten son of Pharaoh that sitteth
I| unto the first begotten son of the handmaid that sitteth
I| slew every first-begotten son throughout all the land
I| beginning at the first son and heir of Pharaoh unto
I| heir of Pharaoh unto the son of the caitiff that lay
I| and clothed therewith his son Eleazar, and made him upperest
I| fields of Moab. Joshua the son of Nun was replenished with
II| if that she might have a son she should offer him to
II| if that she might have a son she should offer him to
II| brought forth and bare a fair son and named him Samuel for

II| said: What is there done my son? He answered: The host of
II| the lot fell upon Saul the son of Kish. And they sought
II| and Jesse sent David his son with a present of bread,
II| and he said that he was son of Jesse of Bethlehem, and
II| same time Jonathan, the son of Saul, loved David as
II| Saul. Art thou not David my son? Yes, said David, I am thy
II| Is not this thy voice, my son David? And David said: It
II| have sinned, return, my son; I shall never hereafter
II| David: Blessed be thou, my son David. And David went then
II| the king and Jonathan his son were slain. David said to
II| thou? And he said: I am the son of an Amalekite. And David
II| her, and she bare him a son. And this that David had
II| name of God, therefore the son that is born to thee shall
II| forgave it him, but the son that she brought forth died.
II| and brought forth another son named Solomon, which was
II| on a time Amnon, oldest son of David, loved Thamar his
II| he would not rebuke his son Amnon for it, for he loved
II| he was his first begotten son. Absalom hated Amnon ever
II| David bade them to save his son Absalom. ~And they went
II| should set hand on the king's son; I heard the king say: keep
II| heard the king say: keep my son Absalom alive and slay him
II| when David knew that his son was slain, he made great
II| great sorrow and said: O my son Absalom, my son Absalom,
II| said: O my son Absalom, my son Absalom, who shall grant
II| that I may die for thee, my son Absalom, Absalom my son!
II| son Absalom, Absalom my son! It was told to Joab that
II| sorrowed the death of his son Absalom, and all their victory
II| approached, and ordained that his son Solomon should reign and
II| Howbeit that Adonijah his son took on him to be king during
II| hath suffered me to see my son in my throne and seat. And
II| But God said to him, his son that should reign after
II| David, reigned Solomon his son, which was in the beginning
II| but from the hand of thy son I shall cut it but not all,
II| David, and Rehoboam his son reigned after him. ~
II| After Solomon, reigned his son Rehoboam. He came to Sichem
II| house of thy first begotten son, suddenly came a vehement
II| tribe, and begat on her a son, naming after his own name
II| captivity with his wife and his son into the city of Nineveh

II| die, he called to him his son Tobias, and said to him:
II| and said to him: Hear, my son, the words of my mouth,
II| them that do it. Beware, my son, keep thee from all fornication,

II| I shall safely lead thy son thither, and safely bring
II| that we might have seen our son. Tobit said to her: Weep
II| said to her: Weep not, our son shall come safely again
II| named Sara, he hath neither son ne daughter more than her.

II| and told to him of Tobias, son of Tobit, all that was done,
II| bless thee, for thou art son of the best man and just,
