1 I| judgment and doom, whereof Job saith: I have feared and
2 I| continued. Whereof said Job, capitulo xix.; Noti mei
3 I| enemy of the human lineage. Job xxvi.: His wisdom hath smitten
4 I| To this purpose speaketh Job: Shall the ox cry and roar
5 I| and Batuel. Of Us came Job, of Bus came Balaam, and
6 II| be read the histories of Job, of Tobit, and of Judith,
7 II| followeth the History of Job, read on the first Sunday
8 II| in the land of Uz named Job, and this man was simple,
9 II| thus feasted each other, Job sent to them and blessed
10 II| their hearts. And thus did Job every day. ~On a day when
11 II| not considered my servant Job, that there is none like
12 II| whom Satan answered: Doth Job dread God idly? If so were
13 II| there came a messenger to Job which said: The oxen eared
14 II| to tell it to thee. Then Job arose, and cut his coat,
15 II| blessed. In all these things Job sinned not with his lips,
16 II| not considered my servant Job that there is no man like
17 II| face of our Lord and smote Job with the worst blotches
18 II| no more, and go die. Then Job said to her: Thou hast spoken
19 II| things? In all these things Job sinned not with his lips.
20 II| men that were friends of Job, hearing what harm was happed
21 II| harm was happed and come to Job, came ever each one from
22 II| sorrow. Then after that Job and they talked and spake
23 II| the end, how God restored Job again to prosperity. It
24 II| when these three friends of Job had been long with Job,
25 II| of Job had been long with Job, and had said many things
26 II| many things each of them to Job, and Job again to them,
27 II| each of them to Job, and Job again to them, our Lord
28 II| rightfully, as my servant Job hath spoken. Take ye therefore
29 II| wethers and go to my servant Job and offer ye sacrifice for
30 II| offer ye sacrifice for you. Job my servant shall pray for
31 II| Lord beheld the visage of Job, and saw his penance when
32 II| friends. And our Lord added to Job double of all that Job had
33 II| to Job double of all that Job had possessed. All his brethren
34 II| ears. Our Lord blessed more Job in his last days than he
35 II| as were the daughters of Job. Their father Job gave to
36 II| daughters of Job. Their father Job gave to them heritage among
37 II| their brethren, and thus Job by his patience gat so much
38 II| double of all his losses. And Job lived after, one hundred
39 II| like as it was of holy Job. For from his infancy he
40 II| of his life. For like as Job was assailed so was Tobit
41 III| had poverty. It is said, Job, primo capitulo, when it
42 IV| dead man. All men wonder at Job, for he was a marvellous
43 IV| everything meekly and patiently. Job was a man of great hospitality,
44 IV| the sickness of the souls. Job opened his house to every
45 IV| to the universal world. Job had sheep and oxen innumerable,
46 IV| ministered. And to holy Job were given worms, wounds,
47 IV| iron, and adamant. What Job suffered with his body,
48 V| for the exposition of holy Job, we rejoice us in thy study.
49 V| our Lord, and hereof saith Job the xxxiii. chapter. If
50 V| king perdurable, after that Job saith in the twenty-fifth
51 VI| temptations thou be another Job, and when thou shalt so
52 VI| behoveth to be tempted as Job was, but I see that in me
53 VI| more done to than was to Job. For he lost all his possessions,
54 VI| shorting of time. For as Job saith: In hell is no redemption.
