 1     I|     primal to the world.~ ~ I fear perhaps thou deemest that
 2     I|   nothing ever yet was born.~ Fear holds dominion over mortality~
 3     I|  unmixed void in things, they fear the steep~ And lose the
 4    II|    feeling, far from care and fear!~ Therefore we see that
 5    II|       as children tremble and fear all~ In the viewless dark,
 6   III|     the realm of death)~ They fear diseases and a life of shame,~
 7   III| brother-born,~ And hatred and fear of tables of their kin.~
 8   III|  heart -~ Forgetful that this fear is font of cares,~ This
 9   III|       is font of cares,~ This fear the plague upon their sense
10   III|       as children tremble and fear all~ In the viewless dark,
11   III|    through by icy javelins of fear;~ But have their place half-way
12   III|       more quickly touched by fear,~ A third not more long-suffering
13   III|  bitter cares, the grief, the fear;~ Wherefore it tallies that
14   III|      why given~ The ancestral fear and tendency to flee,~ And
15   III|     and torpor.~ FOLLY OF THE FEAR OF DEATH~ ~ Therefore death
16   III|     man from anguish and from fear.~ "O even as here thou art,
17   III|       be: but in this life is fear~ Of retributions just and
18     V|      force. 'Tis thence~ That fear of punishments defiles each
19     V|    from in them, when there's fear or pain,~ And when they
20     V|    Excelling far, because the fear of death~ Vexed no one of
21     V|   limbs,~ Strook through with fear of the divinities,~ Lest
22    VI|       as children tremble and fear all~ In the viewless dark,
23    VI|       cities to and fro: they fear the roofs~ Above the head;
24    VI|   some side with this goad of fear -~ This among others - that
25    VI|    prone. With silent lips of fear~ Would Medicine mumble low,
26    VI|      eyeballs: O~ So fierce a fear of death had fallen on them!~
