1    II|     Beside the incense-burning altars slain,~ Drops down the yearling
2   III|      sleeps we're lulled,~ The altars exhaling steam and smoke
3    IV|    gloomily~ They sprinkle the altars with abundant blood,~ And
4     V| halloweth in all lands~ Fanes, altars, groves, lakes, idols of
5     V|       cities full~ Of the high altars, and led to practices~ Of
6     V|     ever to approach~ Unto all altars; nor so prone on earth~
7     V|       of gods, nor yet to dew~ Altars with profuse blood of four-foot
8    VI|        Not even when smoke the altars with good gifts -~ But evermore
